Overview
Airwave, a storytelling podcast with a loyal audience, had a website that buried episodes under generic player embeds. The brief: show notes, episode titles and homepage copy with the same personality listeners love.
We binged forty episodes, catalogued running jokes and signature phrases, then rewrote the site to feel like the show: episode titles with hooks, notes that tease without spoiling, and a homepage that converts casual visitors into subscribers.
The challenge
Discovery happened on audio platforms, but the website converted almost nobody — flat titles, empty descriptions and a subscribe page that assumed commitment visitors had not made.
Approach
Voice-matching at scale: a phrase bank from real episodes, a title formula balancing intrigue with searchability, and show-note templates the producer can reuse without a writer on every episode.
What was delivered
Outcome
The site now works as the show's front door. Listeners mention the episode titles in reviews, and the producer publishes new notes from the templates in minutes.
“She captured our show better than we ever described it ourselves.”
Dee Okonkwo, Host of Airwave
